The home where we reside in plays a major role in fostering relationships as every event in life is experienced and shared with our near and dear ones here. The walls of our house hold within them the various memories made across a life time. Every stone and brick bears witness to the happiness and sorrows which pass in life. After all, life is but this collection of memories and only these make up the very existence of who we are. In each frame of these memories, the house forms the stage in which the events take place thereby etching the house in our memories. This creates a fondness in our hearts for the space as we associate each with a unique memory in our history. Thus, the house becomes an inevitable part of our soul itself, high-lighting the importance of familial bonds, which is very strongly held sacred by this client’s family of generational industrialists.

So how do we go about designing spaces for such a house?

Man has always felt this sense of strength from Nature, a bond of continuum for aeons, as the mother of all, from where every creation originates. Mother Nature rejuvenates the psyche, improves perspective, and ensures cure for every scar, being completely in balance within. She encompasses all and is powerful enough to turn the impossible into possible. She never fails to inspire and her breath-taking presence kindles the thought towards the new and the innovative. Each space is a metaphor to the changing seasons, turning the spaces into embodiments of Nature herself. Openness and fluidity of space brought about by the subtle colours inspired from nature creates soft yet unique spaces, which will form the unforgettable backdrop to the memories which alluding to the warm strength given by one’s tribe.Organic detailing inspired from cultural palette puts a twist to the interpretation of ornament in a contemporary architectural style, reminiscent of the era gone by and a further reminding of origins.
