Location
Electronic city, Bengaluru
Bangalore being a cosmopolitan city, comprising majorly of settlers with an abroad stint and tech professionals from all over the country, the ambience of the project should cater to their international sensibilities. Also, electronic city is the Silicon Valley of this software capital, where we find most corporates and companies of technological and engineering prowess. Hence the concept design aspires to be more global, focussing on futurism with subtle infusion of the heritage characteristics of the Karnataka state.
Inspired from the beautiful Hoysala Architecture, a material palette alluding predominantly to stone textures and underplayed detailing of intricate carvings in a contemporary remake, exists beneath the surface of bold robotics inspired forms in planes of pure white and ‘the iconic Blue’ synonymous to the identity of Yaskawa, while co-existing with smooth contemporary finishes of exposed concrete and bamboo wood, the trending minimalistic planes in current Japanese Architecture.
The spatial character is a metaphoric symbolism of the latent vernacular heritage of the city, hidden under the cloak of the burgeoning modern multitudes of the city.
